The doors are just carbon fiber exteriors, so I set out to manufacture some door liners.  I started by cutting out the panels in 3mm thick foam.

Once cut out, they get epoxied to the inside of the door...


Then everything is filled in with Evercoat Metal Glaze.  The door magnets are buried in the foam (barely visible in the upper right of the picture), there are two N52 grade magnets, so we know they will stay closed!  The rectangular cutout is for the Cine-Scale door handles that get built in.


Here you can see both doors with the base level of the panel complete.

Additional raised panels are cut out, glazed, and epoxied to the base panels..


A coat of primer, and the doors are ready for mounting (later, after the fuselage gets it's first coat of primer - very soon!)
